Desmond Jennings

Desmond D. Jennings (born October 30, 1986 in Birmingham) is an outfielder in the Tampa Bay Rays organization. He spent most of 2009 with the AA Montgomery Biscuits and is currently playing for the AAA Durham Bulls.

Jennings graduated from Pinson Valley High School and was drafted by the Rays in the 10th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft out of Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi. He was the Rays' fifth best prospect heading into the 2009 season according to Baseball America, and the 18th best prospect overall in their midseason top 25.
