This mural depicting stylized football players was executed by Joyce P. Smith and Terry Beckham for the Birmingham Mural Project in 1978. It once occupied three sections of the west wall of a one-story building owned by The Birmingham News on the southeast corner of 22nd Street North and 4th Avenue North, on the site where a new Birmingham News production building was built in 1980.
