Phyllis Norton Hoffman DePiano (born October 17, 1954 in Hoover; died July 10, 2023) was the founder and chair of Hoffman Media.

Phyllis began serving as a pianist and organist at Lakeview Baptist Church in 8th grade. She earned a bachelor of science in accounting at UAB in 1975 and worked as an accountant for Ernst & Young until 1978 when she stepped away to raise twin sons.

In 1983 she partnered with her sister and two friends to launch a magazine entitled Just CrossStitch. She secured enough subscribers to sustain the venture before the first issue was distributed. She soon expanded with several other titles focused on "celebrating the lifestyles of women." She sold the business to PJS Publications in 1992, but bought it back from them in 1997. She christened it "Hoffman Media" in 1998.

She was divorced from her first husband in 2008 and married contractor and former Hoover firefighter Neal DePiano in December 2009. During that year she also completed a book entitled, "Honey, It's All in the Shoes."

DePiano died in July 2023.
