Jack's No. 1 address
- The new address provided for the original Jack's restaurant (1833) now conflicts with the address given in the Jack's No. 1 entry (1827). I don't know if John remembers the sources of the two addresses or not. --Lkseitz (talk) 20:25, 4 November 2023 (CDT)
- I don't know about the original address, but the 1975 City Directory shows Jacks being located at 2831 19th Avenue S. Robert Matthews (talk) 16:42, 5 November 2023 (CST)
- What I know is that it was on the corner of 19th, so they could pretty much use any address starting with an 18 that had a bigger number than their neighbor to the west. I think they may have used 1827 at the time, but now that address is used by Eighteenth Street Orientals and the public safety building constructed on the site of the former Jack's uses 1833. This sort of thing always causes awkward gymnastics when I try to corral things into well-ordered slots. --Dystopos (talk) 08:24, 6 November 2023 (CST)
