Unity Park

Unity Park is a small public park adjoining the UAB School of Nursing on the southwest corner of University Boulevard and 18th Street South in the medical district of the UAB campus. It includes several options for seating, as well as a grassy lawn and supports for hammocks.

The park formerly contained a large fountain. It was removed when the park was modified during construction of the School of Nursing Building in 2018. The present park layout is a result of a renovation which was completed in 2023. That work involved regrading the north end of the site to eliminate steps up from University Boulevard. Two large shade trees were preserved at the southeast corner of the park.
