I distinctly remember a motel that existed on the site of [[Merchant's Walk]], next to Independence Plaza, prior to Merchant's Walk's construction. Looking at photos, I don't believe it was part of the [[Vulcan Motor Lodge]], as it doesn't appear to have extended that far. I wish I could remember if it extended from there to the the current site of Independence Plaza. ** Well, there's [[Bhamwiki:References#Telephone_and_city_directories|a couple of older ones]] available. There used to be [[Bhamwiki:References/Telephone_directories|a bunch of more modern ones]] available at the Internet Archive from the Library of Congress, but unfortunately the LoC had them take it down for reasons unknown. I downloaded a few of them, but sadly not all. I'll see if I can hook you up next week. Motel

- Well, there's a couple of older ones available. There used to be a bunch of more modern ones available at the Internet Archive from the Library of Congress, but unfortunately the LoC had them take it down for reasons unknown.
