V. Richards is a neighborhood specialty grocery store and small deli in Birmingham's Forest Park neighborhood at 3916 Clairmont Avenue. The store is owned by Rick Little, who founded it in the 1990s. In 2004, Little expanded the business, which was originally in a 5400sf building at 3908 Clairmont Avenue, adding 35 jobs and expanding the store's area by 20%. The current store is in the space formerly occupied by Payless Drugs. V. Richards also purchased Abigail's Bakery in order to prepare fresh bread for the store. A short lived second store in Homewood's Edgewood neighborhood was opened in the 1990s.
