Central Park is an 8.7-acre public park between Avenue Q and Terrace Q just south of Bessemer Road in Birmingham's Central Park neighborhood.
The park adjoints Central Park Elementary School across 49th Street Ensley, now vacated and used to access the school parking lot.
Central Park is anchored by the Central Park Recreation Center at the northern end. It has a combination football field and baseball diamond, as well as two smaller baseball/softball fields and four tennis courts. There is also a barbecue and a large shelter for events and two areas with playground equipment.
