The Magic City Bar Association is an organization of African American attorneys in the Birmingham area. It was founded in November 1984 to promote members' professional advancement and to uphold the honor and integrity of the legal profession.
Recognizing a need to support students entering the field, the association sponsors mentors. Its Magic City Bar Foundation, founded in 1993, funds scholarships for African American students to the Cumberland School of Law, University of Alabama School of Law, Birmingham School of Law and Miles Law School.
The current president is Derrick Mills.
