Bush Hills is a neighborhood in Birmingham's Five Points West community and the home of Birmingham-Southern College. It is traversed by Graymont Avenue/Pike Road and Bush Boulevard. It is separated from the Thomas and Ensley neighborhoods by I-20/59 on the north and abuts the College Hills and Graymont neighborhoods across Arkadelphia Road to the east; Rising-West Princeton and Fairview across Bessemer Road and 20th Place West to the south; and Ensley Highlands across Avenue Y to the west.
The neighborhood is represented in Birmingham City Council District 8. Students in the neighborhood attend Bush Hills Academy or Minor Elementary School and Parker or Jackson-Olin High Schools. Alma Dennis Park is located on Avenue Z in the neighborhood's western edge.
The Bush Hills Neighborhood Association meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at Woodrow Wilson School. The president is Alma Dennis.
