Tommy Stewart is a jazz trumpeter, arranger and composer residing in Birmingham. He is a member of several active performing groups, including the Magic City Jazz Orchestra, the Night Flight Big Band, The Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame All-Stars, Ray Reach and Friends and Cleveland Eaton and the Alabama All-Stars. In 1988, Tommy was inducted into the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame.
Stewart attended Alabama State University, where he directed the famed Bama State Collegians, and Eastman School of Music, where he studied arranging. He has worked with Duke Pierson, Ray Charles, Sonny Stitt, Alice Coltrane and many others.
