@DailyMtnEagle or Fake Daily Mountain Eagle was a parody news account on Twitter. It was created anonymously on May 4, 2012 by Matt Mitchell as a mock version of Jasper's Daily Mountain Eagle newspaper. He posted fake headlines, mostly poking fun at the "redneck" culture of Walker County. The account's profile photo featured an ostrich instead of the newspaper's eagle mascot.
