Baak Gwai is a rock band founded in Tuscaloosa in 2004 by drummer Chris Zeiler, bassist Adam Pate, and singer/songwriter John Snowden.

The group hired Adam Planche in 2008 to appear on their second album and its supporting tour. A series of setbacks kept them from completing a third album and the group stopped performing after a gig at The Alcove in December 2018.

In 2021 they were invited to reunite and tour with a group of friends from California.
