BancorpSouth Bank is a Tupelo, MS-based bank which has branches in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Tennessee and Georgia. BancorpSouth entered the Birmingham market in 1998 with its purchase of Birmingham-based Highland Bank.
