Birmingham magazine is the monthly lifestyle magazine which debuted in the fall of 1918 and is currently published by Birmingham News Multimedia. It has been published in two editions.
The original Birmingham magazine did not survive the Great Depression. It was re-launched in December 1961 under the auspices of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce. After the chamber merged with other groups into the Birmingham Business Alliance it sought a buyer for the magazine. The News took over effective October 31, 2011.
Barry Copeland is the publisher. The current editorial staff includes Julie Keith and Carla Jean Whitley. Ellen Padgett is creative director, Beth Ragland is web editor and Tatiana Richards is associate media editor.
