Colonial Promenade at Trussville
Colonial Promenade at Trussville is a major two-part retail center first opened in mid-2000 just to the west of Exit 141 along I-59 at the intersection of Chalkville Mountain Road and Trussville Crossings Parkway in Trussville. The 388,302 square-foot shopping center is owned by Colonial Properties Trust.
Tenants
The $70 million first phase, on the east side of I-65 encompasses 685,000 square feet on 111.2 acres with 18 tenants, including Wal-Mart Supercenter, Goody's, Marshall's, and Regal Ciminas. Smaller tenants include Palace Chinese Restaurant, Family Christian Store, Hibbetts Sporting Goods, Philly Connection, The Shoe Depot, Fashion Bug, Buffalo Wild Wings, Hobby Town, Monterrey Mexican Grill, Cellular Express, Custom Hair Design, Bath & Body Works, Dollar Tree, Friedman's Jewelers, Hallmark, SunCom Wireless and Supercuts. Outparcels include a Chick-Fil-A, Milo's Hamburgers, American Family Care Centers and Costa's Mediterranean Café, located on the site of a Bennigans that closed in summer 2006..
Of those tenants, Bennigans made their initial forays into the Birmingham market at the Colonial Promenade at Trussville. Stores in the first phase opened May 17, 2000.
The smaller second phase, is 289,891 square feet located directly across Chalkville Mountain Road and opened in 2004. This center includes a Sam's Club, Kohls, and PetsMart as its main tenants. Smaller tennants include Moe's Southwest Grill, Tomatapie Pizzeria, Agnew's Jewelers, Century 21, Beneficial Financial, and Konomi Japanese Steakhouse. Outparcels include Whataburger, BancorpSouth Bank, Costa's Famous Bar-B-Que & Fine Steaks, and Zaxby's.
