Colonial Village at Trussville

Colonial Village at Trussville is a 376-unit, 20-building apartment complex built in 1996 at 90 Meadows Drive, off Edwards Lake Parkway near I-459 Exit 32 at U.S. Highway 11. The complex, which is separated from the Colonial Promenade at Trussville shopping center by Pinchgut Creek, has been annexed into Irondale, although it is virtually surrounded by Trussville.

The gated complex has a fitness center with two outdoor pools and two lighted tennis courts, as well as a car wash / car care center. It is marketed as pet friendly with no breed restrictions.

The complex has been the scene of homicides in April 2010, April 2016, and May 2023.
