Edgar "Eddie" Gaines Aldridge (born August 26, 1933 in Bessemer; died November 27, 2018 in Birmingham) was a nurseyman and owned Aldridge Gardens. His father, Loren, started the business in 1927 and Eddie started working in the family business after he left the US Army and returned back to Birmingham. Eddie was president of the Alabama Nursery Association in 1975.

He and his wife, Kay, were members of Riverchase United Methodist Church. They have two children, Jimmy and Jay.

In 2021 a bronze bust of Aldridge, sculpted by Lee Busby, was placed just inside the entrance to Aldridge Gardens.
