Ernest Thompson "Ernie" Cox (born February 19, 1894 in Birmingham; died April 29, 1974 in Birmingam) was a pitcher who played in one game for the Chicago White Sox on May 5, 1922.

Cox relieved starter Charlie Robertson in the 7th inning and faced six batters. He gave up one hit, two walks, and two earned runs in the 3-6 loss to Cleveland.
