The Freunde Deutscher Sprache und Kultur, or simply the Birmingham German Club, is a club dedicated to showcasing German culture within the Birmingham District. Having its beginnings in 1965, the club was begun by Mina Keasler and other "war brides" as a means to connect back with their German heritage. Originally meeting at the Hollywood County Club, the club is now located at 2318 2nd Avenue North in downtown Birmingham.
