The Fultondale Police Department serves the City of Fultondale, north of Birmingham, with a 2005 population estimate of 6,583. The Chief of Police is Byron Pigg.
The department has 19 sworn officers, 15 of which serve in the patrol division under Lietenant Mike Norris. Two city detectives and an information analyst comprise the Criminal Investigations Bureau. The Communications Division employs five members.
