Greg's Hot Dogs, December 2012

Greg's Hot Dogs was a food cart which set up during lunch on weekdays at various downtown and Southside locations, offering all-beef gourmet hot dogs alongside Mr P's Deli sausages served on rolls made by Continental Bakery.

It was opened on April 24, 2012 by owner Greg Nuckolls. Initially Nuckolls began setting up outside the Empire Building on 20th Street near 1st Avenue North but by the summer of 2012 had moved up to 5th Avenue North outside the Wells Fargo Tower, which saw significantly more foot traffic.

By 2012, Greg's began operating a second cart, Dee’s Dogs, usually on the southwest corner of 20th Street and 7th Avenue South near the UAB campus.

In November 2015 it was announced that the company had agreed to lease space in the Box Row development in Avondale, but plans for that project were delayed. In 2017 Nuckolls sold his business to Big Daddy's Bar-B-Q of Warrior.
