School officials applied to join the Cristo Rey network in [[2005]] and undertook a needs assessment in [[2006]] before debuting as a network school the following fall. As part of the Cristo Rey network, all students in the school participate in work-study in business environments. Four students take turns fulfilling the duties of one full-time job. Their earnings are used to offset tuition.

[[Zan Raynor]] was the most recent principal, hired in the summer of [[2007]]. She was fired in December of the same year for undisclosed reasons. The school is searching for an interim principal to complete the academic year and will hire a permanent principal for the Fall of [[2008]].
