Joe Knight (born October 27, 1954 in Miami, Florida) is an attorney and nurse anesthetist and one of five candidates to qualify in the 2010 Republican primary to fill the Jefferson County Commission District 4 seat left open when four-term incumbent and Commission President Bettye Fine Collins decided not to run for re-election.

Knight has an associates degree from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, a bachelor's degree from UAB, and a law degree from the Birmingham School of Law. He ran unsuccessfully for Alabama State Senate in 1998 and for a circuit judgeship in 2000.
