Leo (born 1953) was a male African lion (Panthera leo) donated to the Birmingham Zoo by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer on the occasion of the studio's 30th anniversary. He was billed as the great-grandson of their original mascot, also named Leo. He arrived as a nearly 1-year-old cub on April 27, 1954 and went on exhibit in the new zoo's Lion House in early 1956.

Leo and his mate, Queenie, produced a litter of four cubs in December 1960.
