Michael D. Miles (born August 1954) was Jefferson County Treasurer from 2012 to 2020.

He served under Mayor Richard Arrington as "Director of Inter-Governmental Relations" from 1983 to 1990. In 1994 he was hired as chief deputy to Alabama Secretary of State Jim Bennett.

He is a member of the Jefferson County Democratic Executive Committee and served as president of the Birmingham Downtown Democratic Club.
During the 2016 primary campaign a "sample ballot" was distributed which implied that Arrington had endorsed challenger Eric Major for County Treasurer. Miles failed to advance to a runoff between Eyrika Parker and Roderick Scott in the 2020 Democratic primary to retain his office. Parker went on to win the nomination, and was unopposed in the general election.
