The original Oak Grove Elementary was destroyed by the F5 tornado that destroyed much of Oak Grove, [[Concord]], [[Rock Creek]], and surrounding areas on [[April 8]], [[1998]]. Students attended [[McAdory Elementary Schoo|McAdory Elementary]] until the new school was built. When the new building opened, students from the former [[Alliance Elementary School]] were merged with Oak Grove Elementary. Though the school does not seem to have any official athletic teams, they are called the Tiger Cubs, because 98% of these students will wind up as Oak Grove Tigers.
