One Highland Place (formerly the Gulf Building) is 65,000 square-foot office building located at 2145-2151 Highland Avenue. It was originally an international-style design, elevated above the ground-level parking on concrete piers with a steel and glass curtain wall and an undulating concrete awning over the entrance. It was developed in 1961 by Engel Realty Company for the local offices of the Gulf Oil Company.
International Business Machines had an office in the building. The ground floor housed Mammy's Pancakes and Beef House.
The building was renovated in 1990 with a red brick facade wrapping the ground-level parking and the addition of a gable-shaped parapet on the front facade. New office spaces were enclosed on the ground floor. The building is currently leased by J. H. Berry & Gilbert, Inc.
The Elmington Capital Group of Nashville, Tennessee purchased One Highland Place for $5.8 million in 2015.
