Paget Pizitz

Paget Pizitz (born c. 1979) is co-owner of Melt restaurant and food truck and vice-president of the Greater Birmingham Street Food Coalition.

Pizitz, the daughter of Merritt Pizitz, attended Indian Springs School and Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia before graduating from Auburn University. She worked in Washington D.C. as an event planner for a while before moving to New York as a fashion recruiter for Fourth Floor Fashion. In Fall 2008 she returned to Birmingham to serve as development director for the Alabama Council for Economic Education.

In 2010 Pizitz launched Connections matchmaking service and began writing a regular dating column for B-Metro magazine. In 2011 she acted as marketing director for the Pizitz Management Group and its 32 Degrees yogurt chain. In early 2013 she and Harriet Reis launched their food truck.

Pizitz has also volunteered with Hands on Birmingham.
