Reynold’s Landing at Ross Bridge is a residential subdivision developed by Signature Homes at Ross Bridge in Hoover. The 62-home community was planned in partnership with Alabama Power and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee to demonstrate the "microgrid" energy generation concept, which incorporates photovoltaic panels and battery storage connected to the regular electrical distribution grid by advanced controls. The neighborhood-scaled plant, which includes gas-powered generators, is designed to be able to provide 586,000 kilowatt hours per year, generally enough for the development.

Signature Homes also worked with various suppliers to make the homes themselves energy efficient, through the choice of insulation, doors, windows, lighting and appliances. Most of the equipment built into the homes, including home security, is also controllable via wireless technology, and data about energy consumption is collected through smart meters to be analyzed by Alabama Power.

Reynold's Landing began construction in 2017 and is set to open in Spring 2018.
