James Robert Burton, IV, or Rob Burton (born March 30, 1989 in New York City, New York) is a Public Official in the City of Birmingham, Alabama. Rob is the Executive Director of Sustainable Water, Energy, and Economic Transition in Alabama (S.W.E.E.T. Alabama), 501(c)(3) nonprofit "just transition" organization focused on democratic economies and energy independence within Birmingham and the state of Alabama. He is also a Neighborhood Officer, serving as Secretary of both the Glen Iris Neighborhood Association and Southside Community Advisory Committee. Rob is a Director with the Birmingham Land Bank Authority.
