Ron Selesky

Ron Selesky is a former National Football League player and, beginning with the 2006 season, the head coach of the Birmingham Steeldogs of the af2 (Arena Football League 2).

Selesky is a veteren of arena football coaching, having most recently worked as the defensive coordinator for the Columbus Destroyers. He was af2 "Coach of the Year" in 2002 when he guided the Albany Conquest to a 13-3 record and the championship of the Northeast Division in their first season. Prior to that he was head coach of the Louisville Fire and Buffalo Destroyers. He has also had stints with the Tampa Bay Storm and Carolina Cobras, where he served part of a season as head coach.

Selesky played college football for the Division III North Central College in Napierville, Illinois, starting four years at offensive tackle. He played one season for the Minnesota Vikings (1987).

Selesky replaces Bobby Humphrey as Steeldogs coach. The Selesky began with a home victory over the Everett Hawks on April 8, 2006 at the BJCC Arena.
