SPOC Automation is a manufacturer in the oil and gas technology industry located at 7363 Gadsden Highway in Trussville. The company was founded by Bobby Mason with five employees in 2000. The company's name comes from sensorless pump off control software which it developed. In November 2013 SPOC opened its third production facility and by August 2014 had 65 employees, 41 of which were added since 2011, with plans to add 10 to 15 new employees within the next year.

Due to its large percentage of growth, SPOC was named to the Forbes 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies of 2014. In 2015 the company acquired KJ Controls Canada of Spruce Grove, Alberta.
