The WVOK Shower of Stars was a series of concerts sponsored by WVOK-AM at Birmingham's Municipal Auditorium. Program director Dan Brennan organized the shows, which gained national notice.

  • July 27, 1968: The Troggs
  • July 26, 1969: Paul Revere and the Raiders, the Cowsills, Pat Paulsen, Lou Christie, Tommy Boyce & Bobby Hart, Tommy James and the Shondells, and the 1910 Fruitgum Co.
  • November 29, 1969: Kenny Rogers and the First Edition
  • November 1970: The Carpenters, Grass Roots, Mike Nesmith and the First National Band, Kenny Rogers and the First Edition.
