Simpeo is a professional employer organization (PEO) which contracts to provide human resources, payroll, compliance and benefits management to other businesses. It was founded in 2019 by Patrick Cooney and Blake Patterson. Its offices are located at 402 Office Park Drive in Mountain Brook's Office Park.
In 2020 Simpeo partnered with Immediate to provide its clients' employees with financial wellness tools.
In January 2023 Simpeo was acquired by Group Management Services Inc. of Richfield, Ohio and began operated as a GMS branch. Patterson left the company and went on to found INMO with Adelaide Matte.
