The Southeatern Conference(SEC) is a 12 member NCAA conference establish in1932. It has been headquartered in Birmingham since 1948. The current commissioner is Mike Slive, who succeeded long-time commissioner Roy Kramer.

The SEC was the first conference to split into divisions and hold a post-season championship game in football.
