Tracey Morant Adams

Tracey Morant Adams (born c. 1966 in Sylacuaga) is an executive vice president and small business and community development director for Renasent Bank. She was director of the Mayor's Office of Economic Development for the City of Birmingham from 2008 to 2013.

Morant Adams graduated from Winterboro High School and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Montevallo in 1988. After a year of economics studies at Temple University she returned to Alabama and completed her master's in business administration at Samford University in 1990. She also pursued a PhD in organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix.

Morant Adams spent twelve years at AT&T and was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Wholesale Operations for the Southeast Region. She left in January 2008 to become the city's economic development director. During her time in office the city completed numerous capital projects intended to stimulate economic development, including Railroad Park, Regions Field, Birmingham Crossplex and Uptown. She stepped down in late 2013 to become a senior vice president at Renasent. She was promoted to her current position in 2015.

She also served on the boards of Operation New Birmingham and Innovation Depot and as a trustee of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She is an alumnus of the Leadership Birmingham class of 2008.

She married Jeff Adams in December 2006 and has a stepson, J .J.
