Covenant Community Church is a congregation of the United Church of Christ. It is located at 2817 6th Avenue South in a building it jointly owns with Pilgrim Church.

Covenant began in February 1981 as a congregation of the Metropolitan Community Church. It was the first LGBT-affirming congregation in Birmingham. It adopted the name Covenant in 1986. In 1994 it moved to 5117 1st Avenue North. On January 8, 2006 the congregation voted to disaffiliate with the Metropolitan Community Church. Those who wished to remain in the congregation formed Bethel Metropolitan Community Church.

In March 2009 the congregation relocated to a larger campus in Center Point.

In October 2012 the congregation voted to join the United Church of Christ and it was officially received on May 19, 2013.

Because the Center Point location was proving increasingly inaccessible, in January 2020 Covenant purchased half of the building on 6th Avenue from Pilgrim. Each church retains its separate pastors, congregations, and services.
