Daniel Endress

Daniel B. Endress is a former chief of the Pelham Fire Department.

He has a bachelor of science in safety engineering and is a licensed paramedic with numerous certifications from the Alabama State Fire College. He joined the Pelham Fire Department in 1979 after two years with the Cahaba Heights Fire Department. He was named director of emergency medical services in 1984. He was promoted to battalion chief in 1993 and to deputy chief in 1996. He was appointed to chief in 2008, succeeding Gary Waters, who retired on May 31.

From 1984 to 2002 Endress represented Shelby County on the executive board of the Birmingham Regional EMS System.
