Eagle Phillips

Don Alan "Eagle" Phillips (born c. 1953; died March 30, 2014) was a stage manager and caretaker for New Era Productions' Brothers Music Hall and Oak Mountain Amphitheater.

Phillips, of Japanese and Native American descent, grew up in Bremen in Cullman County and attended the University of Alabama, where he worked on campus shows and met Tony Ruffino.

Phillips belonged to the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and worked with touring shows at numerous other venues across the region, including Legion Field, the BJCC and City Stages. On large productions he normally worked as a forklift driver, but had a deep understanding of all aspects of production and mentored countless people entering the trade.

Phillips died in a single-car accident in Cullman County and is buried at Sandlin Family Cemetery near Bremen.
