Indian Ford Fire and Rescue was a volunteer fire department which operated in a section of unincorporated Jefferson County and Shelby County from 1977 to 2024. The department's station was located at 4306 South Shades Crest Road.
The department was established in 1977 in the Genery community, where Shelby County Road 52 crosses South Shades Crest Road at Genery's Gap through Shades Mountain. Households in the Indian Ford Fire District pay annual dues for the service. The district originally had about 315 homes, but now covers more than 500 households.
In September 2023 Indian Ford Fire District residents voted 231-78 to be annexed into Helena. The city subsequently acquired the assets and liabilities of the fire district.
