John Duchock

John Duchock (born c. 1963; died May 11, 2015 in Gardendale) was chief of the Dora Police Department from 2011 until his death.

He had previously served as public safety director and chief of the Hanceville Police Department beginning in 2007,

Duchock began his career as a police officer for the Pleasant Grove Police Department and Graysville Police Department. He began serving the city of Adamsville as fire marshal and assistant chief of the Adamsville Fire Department in 1985. In 2007 he added the duties of public safety director for Hanceville and chief of the Hanceville Police Department to his responsibilities.

Duchock also worked as an emergency responder for Regional Paramedical Services and taught emergency medical technician classes at Bevill State Community College.

Duchock died at home in 2015. He was survived by his wife,
