Lifted is a feature film produced by Birmingham-based Hunter Films with Coronet Films of Los Angeles, California. The $675,000 production, scripted and directed by Lexi Alexander tells the story of an R&B singer who, encouraged by his father, pursues success in music despite difficulties.
Shooting for the film began on August 17, 2009 at David Garrett's home in Irondale, the Alys Stephens Center, the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo and in area trailer parks.
