The Magic City Run, formerly the Magic City Marathon was an annual USA Track & Field-sanctioned running event held each fall from 2011 to 2023. In 2022 a full marathon was added to the program. The event benefited the Ruben Studdard Foundation for the Advancement of Children in the Music Arts.

In 2020 the event was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, the only year with a full 26.2-mile marathon race, more than 2,100 people participated in one or more events. The race ended with a lap around the warning track at Regions Field before crossing the finish line at home plate.

For 2023 the marathon event was canceled because the Birmingham Police Department could not staff the course. The Magic City Half Marathon and 5K events went forward that fall. The total purse for that year's half marathon was $3,000, split between the top 5 male and female finishers. The city informed organizers that in the future, road courses would be limited to 5 kilometers, which would not attract enough participation to go forward with the event.
