Martha Barber

Martha Barber is a former administrator for Birmingham City Schools and the interim principal of Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School.

Barber earned her bachelor's degree at Miles College and a doctorate in education at the University of Alabama.

She worked as principal of Tuggle Elementary School and as a principal coach for the Alabama Reading Initiative. She served as chief academic officer for Birmingham City Schools before coming to Holy Family as a curriculum and faculty development specialist.

Barber was appointed interim principal after the resignation of Sidney Moore in June 2015.
