Robert Adams (born c. 1921; died September 18, 2009) was a photographer for The Birmingham News from 1943 to 1985.

Adams was disfigured by burns in a childhood accident and lost four fingers. He started with the paper as a copy boy in 1941 and got the chance to put his interest in photography to work two years later. He was named chief color photographer in 1967. He retired in 1985.

Adams died in 2009. He was survived by his wife, four sons, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
