In the article you state "Work was completed in 1990". I'm curious where you got the 1990 date from. I saved a copy of the Nov. 7, 1984 edition of the Birmingham News and on page H1 there is a large photograph of the building and the caption states "Workers have finished about half the building and are concentrating on putting in such building systems as heating, cooling, and plumbing.     • Based on the article that I mentioned previously, it should have opened in the first half of 1986. I don't have any B'ham News articles from that time period, so I can't prove when it actually opened. However, I've also noted occasional errors with Emporis data, so it's not perfect, either.
