  • Some of this conflicts with biographical information on Frank Evans: "In July 1881 Evans relocated to Birmingham and bought a one-half interest in the Weekly Iron Age. That December he and W. C. Garrett expanded the paper's operations into a daily, reorganized under the Iron Age Publishing Company in 1882 with Evans as president. Forced by ill health to resign in 1883..." --Dystopos 22:34, 30 January 2010 (PST)

Willis and/or Charles Roberts

Although the top of the paper listed "W. & Chas. Roberts" as publishers from 1876 to at least 1879, there are indications that they are, in fact, the same person. A February 1875 story notes Charles Roberts is returning from Columbiana, but a September 23, 1875 story notes that "Willis Roberts, late of Columbiana" has become publisher. Unfortunately all of 1880 is missing and during that time it went from "W. & Chas. Roberts" to "Garrett & [Chas.] Roberts", but in April 1881 they note that Charles Roberts is retiring. --Lkseitz 14:19, 11 March 2010 (PST)
