Tanya Ott

Tanya Ott is vice president of Georgia Public Broadcasting's radio division. She served as news director for WBHM-FM in Birmingham from 2003 to 2013. She was also a co-producer of the "Tapestry" community arts and culture program.

Ott earned her bachelor of science in communications and public relations at the University of Florida. Before being hired at WBHM, she worked at WUFT-FM in Gainesville, Florida; WCBS-AM in New York, and at Colorado Public Radio in Denver. She also worked as an independent radio news producer and has taught journalism courses at the University of Florida and UAB and mentored public radio reporters through Morning Edition Grad School and NewsWorks. Ott is also an active blogger, publishing "Public Media Journalism" and "Necessary Pleasures".

Ott and her husband, Jason, have three daughters.
