UAB Student Organization Facility

The UAB Student Organization Facility is a 10,730 square-foot, 1-story campus building constructed in 2023 to house offices and meeting facilities for registered student organizations, operated by the UAB Division of Student Affairs.

It is located at 1330 11th Avenue South on the northwest corner of the intersection with 14th Street South. The site was formerly occupied by Twelve Oaks Apartments and UAB Parking Lot 7B.

The new building was designed by Cindy Coyle and Katie Wood of ArchitectureWorks and constructed by Shelby Co. general contractors. The building's primary assembly space has a capacity of 280, and can be subdivided into smaller rooms. Four other conference rooms can accommodate 12 to 32 persons. The building also houses shared administrative and support spaces, including a catering kitchen and storage rooms.
